Navy & lace......Eek it's Friday the 13th O_O

It's Friday the 13th...... Hmm just another day as far as I'm concerned. Another day to give thanks, another day to make moves towards my dreams, another day to be happy!

I looooooove this skirt. It combines 2 of my favorite things- coral colored clothes & lace.

I just feel lace is so lady like and classic. A far cry from my inner teenage tomboy but I just love lace!.

Making a statement in blue

Statement necklaces are a great way to jazz up an otherwise dull or plain outfit.They are usually larger in size to really stand out. 

I added this one to this outfit as I feel it needed something else to kick it up a notch.

Accessories are a great way to change up and jazz up an outfit. They are also usually more affordable than the items of clothing themselves. They also can allow you to differentiate an outfit and hence get more mileage from your wardrobe. 

I have said it before in a previous post that I am a shoeaholic. Shoes are considered accessories. I also have a lot of jewellery. I even make beaded jewellery- Ronz Jewellery. I'm an accessory junkie! ^_^

Aye aye sailor

I absolutely love this jacket. It's very nautical inspired. There are anchors on the buttons too, which I thought was such a cute detail. 

There are tiny pink stripes in the jacket also for a little girly touch. Pinstripes are quite classic and literally break up the colours in an outfit.

Workout look

I like to work out at home. I don't like any one seeing me or watching me. I used to go to a gym for a year and couldn't afford to sign up for another year and started exercising at home.

 I follow free weekly schedule & videos from Tone It Up. I also use some dvds I have sometimes for cardio. I never really cared what I wore to work out and would wear very drab clothes. In watching the instructors for a couple weeks I wanted nice, bright & cute workout clothes like what they would wear. They have such infectious positive attitudes which really helps with keeping motivated. 

I also started to exercise with my full length mirror in front of me, leaning against my chest of drawers. I like watching myself, it's funny. I also get to see my form- how well I am doing a move.

Orchid

This top reminds me of an orchid, a phalaenopsis to be exact. 

I love orchids. I used to have a few. I don't really have a green thumb although I had some for months and they would bloom several times. They all died eventually though. I did try though. Sigh. I had spent quite a bit of money on them. Now I just package and sell them: OrchidBloom .

I am a certified hustler. I love doing anything artistic-Ronz Jewellery & Heybabycakes Cupcakes. I am a creative person, that much I know.

I just finished a cake baking course, to brush up on my skills. I'm about to start a fondant decorating course in about 2 weeks. I'm so excited. I truly enjoy these classes even though they are taking up my precious and little free time, but I love being able to express myself creatively. It's where I can be my true self.

Tuxedo Jacket & Roses

If you read my blog, you know that I love love love wearing black and white. They are the same colours but one can wear them in so many ways. 

I especially love these shoes. I started composing this ensemble with the shoes. They are not the easiest to wear as they don't go with everything due to the pattern. They are too pretty to be limited by that. I went for a more monochromatic look with the clothes to make the shoes work. Score!

Not gonna stop me....

I wasn't going to let a strained ligament and twisted ankle stop me from looking fashionable. Nope, not at all. Life isn't perfect but you can make perfect moments & make the best out of situations- make lemonade out of lemons. 

I started this outfit by selecting the shoes and the rest came together. I wanted another colour for my necklace to give it a pop and to tie in the yellowy kind of colour from the shoes. Voila!

Lavender & Leopard

After selecting this outfit I knew I had to jazz it up. I love these shoes as they are so stylish yet comfortable. 

I don't know why badly dressed people always say they dress in PJs and sweats for instance, because it's comfortable. Being fashionable can be comfortable! Or they say that it takes money to be fashionable. With a little effort and knowledge, being fashionable can be affordable. That is one of the main reasons I have this blog- to show women they can look fabulous on a budget. It's not about being vain or anything but it helps with confidence in one self. I always say if I don't feel good I might as well look good. At least that's one positive. ^_^

Throwing shade- Black & White

Now I love to wear black especially black on top and bottom. Hmm, love me some black ^_^. Not to mention wearing black AND white. It's such a great pairing. It's often debated as to whether black and white are colours and that they are shades.

In scientific terms, black & white are not colours. White is a mix of all colours as it reflects colour. Light appears colourless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colors of the spectrum. A rainbow is proof. You can't see the colors of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.

Black is the absence of all colours in terms of light, when there is no light everything is black. The debate can go on and on. 

By wearing both colours, I'm essentially throwing 'shade'. It's a Southern term that is defined by the Urban Dictionary to throw shade is "to talk trash about a friend or acquaintance, to publicly denounce or disrespect. When throwing shade it's immediately obvious to on-lookers that the thrower, and not the throwee, is the bitchy, uncool one.

All these Atlanta shows have me picking up the different terminologies.

When I saw this sweater I thought it was co cute- classy yet not stuffy. What I really love about this sweater is that it looks like a jacket. Since I was wearing it to work I thought I would dress it up with some pearls. A girl can never go wrong adding some pearls to finish her outfit. Of course, I had to wear these shoes to jazz up the outfit even more.

Style Trend- Ear Cuffs

I love this trend. It's not new but it's just coming back into fashion again. As with almost all trends, it's something that's old that has been modernized and is now called new. 

I saw these on celebrities at first and loved it but thought it was too expensive for me. When I went to Dubai in November 2013, I saw some in Forever 21 and bought a pair and thought I'd rock them to a party in the Christmas - Utopia. The picture isn't very clear but what I liked about them was that they were not gaudy or too much.

Here are some other designs. You can do simple & wear it casually, or more elaborate designs when you have to dress up; & there are cuffs that connect to your hair. Gorgeous!

Periwinkle Nights

I can't remember where exactly I was going in this ensemble but I was going out of the town! ^_^.

I love the colour-periwinkle! Those of us that had the big box of crayola crayons as children would know the names of colours such as periwinkle.
