Met Gala May 2014

This event is considered the Oscars of the fashion world.

Its an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute as well as an opening celebration for the Institute's annual fashion exhibit. It is held at the Met (hence the name) and is attended by the who's who including art and fashion aficionados, socialites and celebrities.

Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief, is the chair of the event. Each year the gala has a theme. This year's theme was "Charles James: Beyond Fashion". Charles James was a British-born fashion designer known as "America's First Couturier." He is widely considered to have been a master of cutting and is known for his highly structured aesthetic.(Source: Wikipedia)

This post is quite long but like I said before, it's the Oscars of fashion. We had winners & losers.

They stuck to the theme.....

They didn't quite go with the theme but looked lovely.

Didn't make it. Huh?!
Her hair maybe should have been up and she looks older than she is.
This dress need a belt or something.
No no no no no
Now I love Lupita and was looking forward to seeing what she's wear but this doesn't make it at all. Nice colour though.
It might have been Cinco de Mayo but this does Kate no justice.
Feed her please!!!!!
This is great for Lena but just looks a little odd. Love the shoes!
The dress is nice but not for this occasion but the worst is the shoes- VERY not right for the occasion.

Are we at the beach? .....Nope.
This dress ages Emmy

She look washed out.

Punk was last year's theme..............
