Mint chocolate

I love these shoes (also shown here & here). With them being mint (pastel green) though, they don't exactly go with everything but that's not going to stop me. Neutral coloured (black, brown, grey & beige/nude) shoes are staples in any wardrobe but after having the basics (see my post here on building a wardrobe for work), one can have a little fun with shoes that aren't neutral coloured. I have mint coloured articles of clothing and accessories and I make it work.

I started this ensemble with the shoes, then I added the shirt to tie in the shoes. I of course needed more to wear with it so I decided to do a jacket & bottom with the same colour. The top is sleeveless so I had to wear a jacket or sweater with it. Voila!

Inner Blouse- Rainbow (US$5)

My dear mother bought me these shoes- GORGEOUS. Big up to Mommy, love you! When I saw them I was like, hmm what am I gonna wear with these? I love love love these shoes, so cute yet comfortable.

Mustard, Mint & Lavender

I got these shoes in TJ Maxx in March this year and I was dying to wear them.

Now some of you may think these colours are kind of weird to be worn together (as a co-worker of mine told me) but I like thinking outside of the box and being different. I was proud of my colour combination- it was different. It was Easter-y, spring colours and fun.

Funny enough I had this statement necklace and it was the same colour of the shoes.

I just love the colour mustard. I couldn't find a skirt in the colour so I actually went and found the fabric (angels sang when I saw it in Pablo's) and got my dressmaker/seamstress to get it made.

Didn't really want to share this picture as I hate the expression on my face- I literally was saying with my teeth clenched "Take the picture", lol.
